This very masculine fragrance is one of the oldest in Truefitts' stable with the time of its original formulation dating back possibly to as early as 1814. The Duke of Wellington, renown for his elegance and fastidiousness in personal grooming, was amongst Truefitts' most devoted patrons, so it is just possible that notes of Spanish Leather accompanied him on the battlefield of Waterloo.
