Information we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and display name. When you take the scent quiz we store your responses and the resulting fragrance profile. We also collect anonymous usage data to improve our service.
Your quiz answers
Your quiz answers are stored only on your account. We don't sell or share them. They are used to generate your scent profile and recommendations, and to make sure your reading evolves with you over time. If you delete your account, your answers go with it.
How we use your data
Your data is used to personalise fragrance recommendations, maintain your collection and wishlist, and improve the Parfuses platform. We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Analytics & tracking
Aggregate analytics is server-side and anonymous — we don't track individual click-through. We measure totals (page views, quiz starts, recommendation clicks) so we can see how the product is being used at the category level. We do not build personal browsing profiles, and we do not sell aggregate or individual analytics to advertisers.
Affiliate links
Parfuses contains affiliate links to third-party retailers. When you click these links, the retailer may use cookies to track your visit. Parfuses earns a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Recommendations are not weighted by commission rate — see our Terms of Service for the full breakdown.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our site at the aggregate level. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all linked data (quiz answers, scent profile, collection, wishlist, premium reports) at any time by emailing us at support@parfuses.com. We'll process the deletion within 30 days and confirm when it's done.
