No 89 represents the era of the classic St James's gentleman. The fragrance choice of James Bond himself. When in London, Ian Fleming was a regular visitor to the Floris shop and used many different Floris products which he mentions in several of the James Bond books, including his favourite fragrance “No 89 for men”.
