For this project, Azzedine Alaïa meticulously and personally controlled every detail, taking advice from a team of experts in pursuit of excellence. As soon as perfumer Marie Salamagne heard about Mr. Alaïa's commission (the smell of cold water falling on hot chalk), she immediately started looking. Quickly, she says, I found a formula that evoked this sensation.
