Chergui

South Morocco. The hazy white sun infuses torpor on a still, diffused land. Miniature tornadoes improvise a ballet, dancing across the sands, roll, turn and then vanish. They are the Djinn, the genies of good and evil. They usher in the Chergui, a dry wind from the East. Burning, rolling, mica-laden knots for a curtain of red sand. The Chergui withdraws, followed by the fiery sands.
