The camellia, Mademoiselle's emblem, has no scnt. But the gardenia, which so closely resembles, exudes a sweet scent that is impossible to extract. Ernest Beaux and Gabrielle persevered, however, and succeeded in creating a stunning evocation of this marvelous flower.
